On Thursday, October 14, the kindergarten, first grade, and second grade took their first field trip of the year to Uesugi Pumpkin Patch. Upon their arrival, the students were organized into groups and went to explore the pumpkin patch. The first thing the students got to do was go through a corn maze. “It was easy,” said 1st grader McKenna Hussin. “It took me only 20 seconds!” The students then rode a train where they counted gold and silver pumpkins during the ride. After that, they went on a hay ride and rode through a field of orange and yellow pumpkins. As they rode the bus home, each student carried an orange pumpkin, a souvenir from their first field trip of the year.
